Abdelkrim: Hello. I’m Abdelkrim Dib and currently a Senior Backend Engineer at EMURGO Fintech based in Tlemcen, Algeria.
Tell us about your career background.
Abdelkrim: Sure. I have eight years of experience in software development. My journey began as a software engineer at a fintech startup, where I focused on developing and maintaining an e-banking solution tailored for developing countries. Before coming to EMURGO, my professional trajectory encompassed positions in the realm of blockchain and decentralized application (dApp) development, including serving as the Co-Founder and CTO of Martify Labs, where I assumed a pivotal role in overseeing the development of MeshJS, an open-source library designed to streamline the process of constructing dApps on the Cardano blockchain.
How did you start working in blockchain and what made you want to work at EMURGO?
Abdelkrim: Before EMURGO, my focus was on maintaining and actively contributing to various open-source projects within the Cardano ecosystem. Most notably, I dedicated my efforts to MeshJS, an open-source library that equips developers with a range of tools for effortlessly constructing robust dApps on the Cardano blockchain. When the chance to be a part of EMURGO presented itself, allowing me to tackle intriguing technical challenges associated with the Cardano blockchain, my elation was boundless. My decision to align my journey with EMURGO has truly proven to be a source of immense happiness and contentment.
What makes working at EMURGO different compared to other companies you have been at?
Abdelkrim: Being a part of EMURGO and contributing to open-source projects such as Yoroi Wallet and Cardano has truly provided me with an exceptional journey. From a technical perspective, I find myself drawn to demanding landscapes, collaborative efforts, and the integration of novel technologies.
