EMURGO CEO Phillip Pon Answers Questions from the Cardano Community
EMURGO hosted its first X Spaces AMA session with CEO Phillip Pon on July 2, 2025, to engage with questions submitted from the community.
Drawing over several hundred listeners, Phillip shared insights into EMURGO’s strategies for accelerating commercial adoption across real‑world asset (RWA) tokenization, stablecoins, and decentralized wallet infrastructure, underlining EMURGO’s next phase of growth in the Cardano ecosystem.
Phillip also reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to Cardano’s decentralization ethos and community‑first governance, while announcing EMURGO’s plans to delegate Genesis ADA to a set of smaller DReps to give them a stronger voice in governance matters. This has since been completed.
Yoroi Wallet to Support Midnight Glacier Drop

Phillip Pon joined Project Catalyst’s Town Hall for the launch of Fund14 as a keynote speaker on July 23rd.
In his keynote, Phillip talked about his views on Catalyst’s significance for Cardano builders, RWAs, and building the future of finance on Cardano, as well as EMURGO’s efforts to build alongside them.
To preserve momentum and enable builders to start crafting and refining their ideas, Catalyst Fund14 is now open for registration.
Yoroi Wallet Enhances Cardano Governance Participation
Yoroi Wallet’s latest desktop v5.9.0 release introduces a brand-new governance UI designed to make on-chain participation clearer and more accessible.
From a dedicated governance banner to a full-featured registration page, users can now easily delegate their vote, choose a DRep of their choice (including Yoroi), or even opt to abstain or vote no confidence.
To further emphasize that user participation is flexible and multilingual — this update is also available in Japanese.

EMURGO Supports Treasury Funding for 39 Cardano Proposals
Cardano’s community is proving that liquid democracy and decentralized governance work based on active participation.
With the first round of approved budget proposals up for Treasury withdrawal voting by DReps, EMURGO supports the community consensus to review and vote on approving withdrawals for the 2025 budget proposals one at a time.
We also remain committed to ensuring that these important projects receive the necessary funding promptly and have voted “YES” in support of all withdrawals after thorough consideration, thereby supporting the overall goal of the ecosystem’s continued growth.
